I fully admit to being one of the laziest bloggers EVAH because I WANTED TO BE. I needed a REST. I MOVED, had one day of vacation, reopened the bakery, became short-handed at the bakery due to LIFE, and THIS WEEK we should be back-on-track to normalcy. (RIIIIIIGHT).
My life has been at warp-speed lately, and as it normally is ALREADY at that speed, it just got jacked up a little by becoming VERY VERY VERY BUSY at the bakery. Believe me, I'm NOT sad we're busy. I am happy as a clam, BUT when you're down two people it gets a little FASTER and ten times more stressful than usual. Add to that the fact that it's SUMMER, and I got two kids wanting to do ANYTHING out of the bakery all day, and it's a little more than anyone can handle.
Do I feel terrible they get stuck at the bakery for most of the days? YES. Will that change? Maybe...if I can squeeze out some hours in the day for some lunches or trips to window shop then I think the whining will stop (yeah, right. Whining NEVER stops).
BUT, just so you know the new house is FABULOUS. I love it. The girls love it. Brian loves it. We all want to be there all the time just sitting in different rooms and looking at the bare desert behind it. It is so peaceful. I simply ADORE it. However, that can be dangerous. It CAUSES relaxation which CAUSES lack-of creativity in ME. I can't THINK of new ideas when I'm entranced by the mountain view. All I can think about is "AHHHHHHHHHHH. I am so relaxed." Which I GUESS is a good thing....it's EXACTLY why I bought the house. I NEED to calm down....but that calmness is EXACTLY why you haven't seen THIS BLOG in a couple weeks. I physically couldn't do it. I blame the desert view. Could YOU get out of bed when THIS is what you're staring at:
So, I am fully committed to blogging again....I think. I will give ALL EFFORT to get up early on Sunday and bang it out (THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID), so you can have pictures of our fabulous cakes. BUT, if I don't then you'll know that I'm just sitting NEXT to the computer, but I'm looking at the desert ENTRANCED.
NOW, let's get to those CAKES O' THE WEEK(s):
