As you know, last week was a HUGE week for Retro: our first birthday, Valentine's Day, and PRESS after more PRESS!!
We were on ABC, CBS, and NBC local stations in three days!! YIPPEE!! We actually got to VISIT the KVBC NBC studios on Thursday! They invited us back (we were there last April) to do the News 3 at NOON food segment to showcase our Valentine's cupcakes! This time I brought my CAMERA!!!! (FULL DISCLOSURE: I almost forgot it AGAIN, but as I was getting into the car, I said to Brian, "STOP!! I need the camera!!! I WILL NOT forget this time!!").
When we arrived, we were greeted by the EVER-SO-AWESOME technical director, Matt, who gave us the BEST welcome (as always) as he lead us into the studio. Here he is checking the schedule on the computer while I pretend to set up (but, I'm really taking pictures!).
Then, Angela Martin came in and gave me the bad news: MITCH TRUSWELL TOOK THE DAY OFF!!!! AHHHHHH!!!
Here's the deal: I am WAY nervous when I go on tv (I say that like I go all the time, but whateva), but the first time I did it, Mitch did the interview, and he reminded me SO much of my brother that I felt totally relaxed (ISH). So, when I found out I was going on AGAIN (and had TWO WEEKS to think about it and start freaking out), the only comfort I had was that I kept telling myself, "at least it's Mitch, and we'll be relaxed." Well, he wasn't there...BOO HOO! (he has since told me he's sorry he missed us via FACEBOOK. Dontcha love it??).
However, Angela remembered us from last time and said she would do the interview, and she was GREAT! She loved the cupcakes and put me totally at ease.
We (once again) got to watch the entire broadcast from inside the set, but, THIS time we got to talk to the anchors during the commercials, and I took even MORE pictures:
I think Dana Wagner spotted me:
Here's Retro cupcakes ready for their close-up:
Here's what you see when YOU'RE on camera:
Here's US the GREAT cast of News 3 at Noon: Angela Martin, Collette Wieland, Dan Ball, and Dana Wagner:
The segment was fun and light, and I was SO thankful to be back!!!
Thanks to ALL of you at KVBC, and hope to see you...

What a great way to celebrate Retro's anniversary. When people start coming to YOU, that's when success has begun to show.
Congratulations!
